One thing I have done over the years is check my balance daily. This keeps me aware of my financial situation at all times and has helped me stabilize my financial life. Over the years I have found charges that should not have occurred, large accidental deposits and have reduce a number of fees that can occur from over charges.

No child is too young to learn. If you give a five year old a budget and explain to the child what a budget is then the child will learn to manage a budget. It is important not to set low standards for your child. Actually you should set very high standards for your child. The child will meet the high standards.
